Swann's Way, The Wind's Twelve Quarters, The whole Dark Tower saga (minus the last one which I can't bring myself to read as it will be THE END of all things), Harry Potter, Peace Like a River, The Iliad (essential that it is the Stanley Lombard translation), Cancer Ward, the Affects of Light, the Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Klay, Lolita, a Separate Peace, A Wrinkle in Time, A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, anything by James Herriot, see also Toni Morrison but especially Tar Baby, The Old Man and the Sea, the last part of Specimen Days, One Hundred Years of Solitude, the Joy Luck Club, the Bonesetter's Daughter, Balzac and the Little Chinese, Almost There and My Dream of You, Lullaby, To Kill a Mockingbird, Portnoy's Complaint
Books I despise are Crime and Punishment, Blue Shoe, and the Bell Jar (I'm sure this indicates something besides that I'm not very discriminatory).
